Executive Membership Program

How Executive Members Make the Difference

Our Executive Membership is made up of organizations that not only share ACPM’s overall philosophical mission of ensuring a viable and sustainable retirement income system in Canada, but they actually step up to the plate and help make it happen.  When we need advice on major pension issues of the day, our EM representatives are always there to provide us with their input, their advice and their unique perspective on those issues.  Equally important is the financial support we receive from our EM’s.  Whether your organization partners with ACPM at the Leadership Commitment Level or the Supporting Commitment Level, it is through this support that ACPM is able to carry out its ever-increasing advocacy role on behalf of the industry in this era of pension reviews and reform.  Therefore, our Executive Members do literally “Make the Difference”.

Executive Membership Benefits

Beyond the obvious gains of having a well-known, highly respected advocacy body constantly working on your behalf, there are other tangible and significant benefits that are derived from being an ACPM Executive Member (EM).  They are as follows:

  • Complimentary Individual Memberships:  Executive Members receive complementary Individual Memberships in ACPM.  (Leadership Level EM’s receive three complimentary Individual Memberships while Supporting Level EM’s receive one);
  • Exclusive Roundtable Discussions:  Executive Member representatives are invited to participate in our exclusive Executive Roundtable Program, ACPM’s bi-annual Roundtable discussions on topics of interest to retirement income industry stakeholders.  These Roundtables are facilitated by key ACPM representatives, giving our EM’s a unique forum in which to discuss the issues of the day with their peers, either through webcasts or at in-person meetings.  Not only will the Roundtable discussions allow EM’s to share their insights with ACPM leaders as our industry evolves, but they will also provide them with the unparalleled opportunity to network with a cross-section of Canada’s leaders in the retirement income industry;
  • Discounts on Registration Fees:   Executive Members receive significant discounts on all regular registration fees for ACPM events , including our National Conference and all Regional Council Events, whether the registrant is an Individual Member or not.   (Leadership Level EM’s are entitled to a 15% discount while Supporting Level EM’s receive a 10% discount.) Note:  the discount does not apply to the purchase of tables at regional events;
  • Special Invitations:  EM’s receive an invitation to attend special events hosted by the ACPM President each year, such as ACPM’s exclusive President’s Invitational Dinner, held annually to express our sincere appreciation for the support received from our Executive Members, or the President’s Private Reception at the ACPM National Conference.  (Leadership EM’s receive four invitations to these events while Supporting Level EM’s receive two);
  • Prior Notice:  All Executive Members receive pre-release copies of all ACPM position papers, media releases, etc.;
  • Regular Updates:  All Executive Members receive special updates on current significant advocacy initiatives as they occur;
  • Immediate Access:  Each Executive Member representative has immediate access to an ACPM officer or senior staff member to discuss ACPM activities or any matter that may be of particular concern to you or your organization;
  • Submission of Articles:  All Executive Members are given the opportunity to submit articles for printing in The ACPM Advocate, our triannual e-Newsletter.  (Leadership Level EM’s receive a priority invitation to submit their articles, as well as an opportunity to have their organization featured in The ACPM Advocate);
  • Subscriptions to The ACPM Advocate:  Each Executive Member representative is given a free subscription to The ACPM Advocate;
  • Recognition on our Web Site:  At your discretion, recognition of EM’s on our website, in our e-Newsletter and in our Annual Report of your valued contribution to the ongoing efforts of ACPM on behalf of the retirement industry in Canada;
